Olive Branch

Arbequina is a special olive variety of Spanish origin, known worldwide for its high yield, excellent flavor quality, and proven health benefits. Arbequina does not require a pollinator; it is self-fertile.

One of its most important features is that it is among the most resistant varieties to Verticillium, one of the major diseases affecting olive trees.

Arbequina olive trees, which can grow only in Spain and niche regions with similar climate conditions, begin their story in Turkey mainly in the Bozcaada region with high productivity.

With our team of 50 women, carefully selected from the people of Bozcaada, olives are handpicked and processed with the cold-press technique to produce pure and additive-free high-quality olive oils.

Waking Up to Olives..

Bozcaada is my favorite place on earth. If I were a seasonal worker, harvesting olives every day, watching the sun set there, with Tamino or Ivo Dimchev in the background…

Last year I said, “What do I know about agriculture, cold pressing, factories?” when we went to harvest the olive trees that had been nurtured like babies for years.

Now I wander around thinking, “How beautiful the bottles look! How should we package them? Should we make the soaps ourselves first, mom? What about the recipe?”

As the daughter of agricultural parents, my childhood passed on the roads—domestic and abroad—vineyards, orchards, then holiday villages, tours, sweaters over swimsuits, pants, all mixed together with both work and vacation.

When your parents are passionate about their work, you end up both inside and outside agriculture. I never liked bugs, always said “Let’s go on vacation already, I’m tired, dad are we there yet?” Yet during my years 0–4, while my mother worked on her PhD, I spent my days running after her saying “Mom, shall we do hybridization?” So the love of green was already in my soul.
